If youâre currently pregnant and thinking about placenta encapsulation, I would highly recommend doing a deep dive into the benefits. The placenta is rich in so many vitamins and minerals like B6 and B12 as well as iron.
Here are just a few highlights
đHelps to balance hormones post birth
đȘđŒReplenish depleted iron levels
đ©žReduce postpartum bleeding
đ„increase milk production
đ increase energy levels
đ¶đ» Inhibit baby blues
I wish I was able to do placenta encapsulation first time round, but Covid stopped many small businesses from providing incredible services like these. I felt amazing post-birth and with having a toddler to look after too, these really helped my energy levels and I didn't encounter any highs and lows and felt my moods were really steady.
When I fell pregnant this time, there was no question about whether I was going to do it, it was just to find someone. I used @doulafairy_placenta
She was incredible every step of the way and I had my little bottle delivered to my door very soon after birth. As with anything, please check the provider and their certifications. They also sometimes offer different options on what to do with your placenta, like smoothies or different preparation methods.

Ps - this is my placenta from my second birth of Spencer, I had something called a âtrue knotâ. It happens as the baby loops through. Sometimes it can cause problems but most of the time it is a form of normal behaviour and the jelly around the cord protects the vein and arteries from being constructed and the knot can freely run up and down. How incredible are our bodies?
